Welcoming Decor in the Fall

When you think of fall, what are some things that pop in your mind? Is it that spice pumpkin latte? A warm apple pie? Fall decor? Or is it the changing leaf color? Whatever it is, we connect fall with it being warm in our houses, and we love a cozy atmosphere to go along with it. Creating a warm and inviting home in the fall doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg.  All it takes is a small budget and some creativity. Maybe you already have all the things in your house that you need. Now since we are coming out of summer, we like to create bright, airy and somewhat a tropical feel (the big banana and palm leaves were a big trend this year). Going into fall, you want to decorate or put up little accents with warmth and coziness. This means you would utilize yellows, oranges, burgundies, browns and tans more this season. Anything with a warm color.

You don’t have to go all out or crazy but just bring in the charm to the house. For example you can do a pumpkin centerpiece in the dining room or the kitchen table, some kind of darker yellow or orange floral accents for the coffee table. Decorative pillows on the couch and accent chairs, and let’s not forget everyone’s favorite cozy throws to add texture. Once you add these touches here and there, you see that they come together wonderfully.

That’s what so great about decorating. You could always put your own style, flare and taste into your home.

Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.”
